It is October and we all know what that means, time to start thinking about Halloween costumes. If your children are anything like my children they start thinking about "next Halloween" on November 1st and change their minds a hundred times. I am going into my 22nd year of Halloween as a mom and I am telling you it is getting harder and harder to think up new and fun costumes. My middle daughter Lilli is easy, she has to be some kind of vampire almost every year. My oldest, Hanna, she can now, at 22, come up with her own ideas. It is my youngest Sammi who is the hardest. She is the one that is on "trend" and has to have the "it" costume. Last year she was a bag of Jelly Bellys. Not the easiest costume to walk around in but it was adorable. Some parents choose to buy the already made costumes and for me that was the easiest way to go. Plus they are coming out with some really great costumes these days. I have written over 800 new lunch notes over the past six years but believe it or not I am not too creative when it comes to costumes. There are some great websites out there that give you awesome homemade costume ideas and for them I say THANK YOU!!

No matter if you buy or make your costumes this year I hope that your little ghosts and goblins have a safe and happy Halloween and that their bags are full of lots of goodies!
